Kathryn Burrell is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Communication at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst specializing in Film Studies. She holds an M.A. in Communication with an emphasis in Documentary Studies, as well as a B.A. in Theatre and Film Studies which she obtained while working with the university’s Emmy award-winning multimedia office on broadcasting, production, and photography.
