Review #44 | "The Queen of Versailles" (2012)

The Seigel family had it all, and like many Americans they lost almost everything they had in one fell swoop. When the stock market crashed their American dreams of a personal Versailles wasted away as the family became more and more humbled by the American reality . This sympathetic look into the life of Jackie Siegel attempts to redefine the American upper class. Jackie made the decision to make life her own when she became an engineer rather than an engineer's secretary. Her intelligence is not ridiculed, but her heart is another matter. Jackie's life will make you angry in a variety of ways, but her story is an inspirational.
